Seawater has a magical healing power. The gentle lap of the waves, the soothing flush of the water against the shore, the rocking of a boat up and down, side to side... I am starting to get a little seasick thinking about the sea. Good thing March's birthstone, Aquamarine, is believed to ward off seasickness!
The beautiful light greenish blue of the gorgeous Aquamarine gem is reminiscent of sea water. No wonder that is where it derived its name! Aquamarine's name is of Latin origin: aqua (for water) and marina (for the sea).
Aquamarine is from the same family of gemstones as Emerald: Beryl, but, unlike it's Emerald cousin, which is prized for its jardin of inclusions, Aquamarine is typically inclusion-free, making it a dream gemstone for interesting gemstone cuts!
I am delighted to share a few of my favorite Aquamarine pieces in the current Original Eve Collection with you, as well as something *brand new*:
I am sharing Aquamarine Gemstones that are in the Original Eve Collection, but have yet to make it into finish jewelry pieces! These gemstones are available for purchase and I would LOVE to work with you to transform them into a custom piece. Be sure to reach out to hello@originaleve.com if something catches your eye!
High-quality Aquamarine has been chiseled into hexagonal beads, providing windows into the soft blue gems and reflecting light with a sparkling surprise in the new Aquamarine Candy Necklace.
Such highly saturated aquamarine is rarely found in a beaded necklace.
The clasp is made in 18k recycled yellow gold using the motif of the Azores Collection to add an element that is both functional and stylish. The Aquamarine is strung on silk and knotted between each bead, providing security and flexibility.
It's a stunning necklace and a rare find of gorgeous aquamarine!
