The Pyritized Ammonite Earrings are one-of-a-kind. Ammonite is a fossil from an extinct marine mollusk. Pyritized ammonite occurs when, during petrification, the ammonite's organic material is replaced with pyrite, or iron disulfide (more commonly known as 'fool's gold').
The result is a breathtaking, beautifully preserved and durable ammonite fossil.
These earrings are basked with Jasper to increase durability and are made in 18k Yellow Gold with a matte satin finish.
