This pearl has an architectural aesthetic due to the column form that looks as if Mother Nature shaped the pearl with a lathe. When a mollusk is exposed to changes in its environment such as increase or decrease in nutrients, changes in water temperature, or storms can affect the shape, color, and texture of the pearl it is growing. This pendant celebrates and highlights these nuances that make the pearl beautiful and unique.
